The need
The Investors in People website at www.yourpeoplemanager.com aims to encourage small businesses to attain the Investors in People standard. When we began managing the site in 2005, our tasks were to enhance its offering, build brand awareness, improve interaction, and increase site traffic.
The challenge
Traditionally, small business entrepreneurs do not focus on staff and human resources issues. Our goal was to turn human resources messages into engaging information for small business managers.
The solution
Our work involved creating regular and relevant news and features, hosting the website, sending twice-monthly emails, and promoting the site through Crimson's online portfolio.
The response
From June 2005 to November 2006:
- Unique visits increased 370% from 3019 to 14194
- Web page visits (impressions) increased 157% from 15461 to 39696
- Newsletter subscriptions increased 10% from 2275 to 2510
